The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science promotes research activities in the fields of pure and applied mathematics, computational mathematics, teaching and history of mathematics and computer sciences. It carries out basic, applied and industrial research in the relevant fields.
The 2024-2026 Departmental Plan summarizes in a concise manner the structure, activities and objectives that the Department has set itself to achieve in the three-year period.
The Department coordinates and supervises the vast choice of courses present in all study courses:
- Three-year study course in Mathematics
- Master's degree course in Mathematics, with the possibility of a double degree in agreement with Universitat de València and Universitat Politècnica de València
- Three-year study course in Computer Science
- Master's degree course in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Big Data with the possibility of a double degree with University of West Florida
- Doctorate in Matematics, in agreement with the Universities of Modena-Reggio-Emilia and Parma
- International doctorate part of the DATAHYKING Doctoral Network, a Marie Curie doctoral network funded by the European Commission
